And why should I care?
Short for Portable Document Format, PDF is a file format and file extension developed by Adobe that enables users to capture the native appearance of a document. It is useful because it allows the document to be viewed and printed the same way on any device. PDF files are frequently used in legal documents, such as tax papers, bank statements, and other forms that allow the user to fill in data.
It’s essential to open thousands of documents, forms and manuals. There are other alternatives in the market like Sumatra PDf and Foxit Reader. One of the main advantages in favor of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is it’s international coverage and guarantee published in over 30 languages and countries.
Thanks to the Protected Mode and other security measures, it’s now much safer to fill in forms and open PDF documents with complex objects.
Faster, more reliable, and simple, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is an essential tool if you need to open and print PDF documents frequently, and with the full-screen reading mode, you can enjoy PDFs even on smaller screens.

During the past few years the introduction of newer browsers have their own PDF viewer built in. Fine and dandy if you are not working with an Interactive PDF or you are not concerned if it will print the way it appears in your browser. That is what makes PDF files viewed in Adobe Reader important. You wouldn’t want to open a container of cookie crumbs mixed with ice cream and see that only cookies are in there.
